Kathryn Milliss ACS is a Sydney based filmmaker and cinematographer with deep experience in both drama and factual. She shot the cinema documentaries Whistle (currently in post), Her Name is Nanny Nellie, She Who Must be Loved, episodes of factual series Who Do You Think You Are? and Filthy Rich and Homeless, and was a shooter producer on Nine's Big Miracles. She last teamed up with Roz Horin on her feature documentary, Rosemary's Way.
Kathryn's credits as DOP include John Duigan's feature Careless Love, Cherie Nowlan's feature Thank God He Met Lizzie starring Cate Blanchett, Richard Roxburgh, National Geographic's feature documentary Flight Over The Equator and Anna Broinowski's feature documentary Forbidden Lie$. Kathryn had the honour of shooting the Australian portion 49Up and 56Up for legendary director Michael Apted and has worked as camera operator on feature films such as The Sum of Us, starring Russell Crowe and Jack Thompson and John Hillcoat's To Have and To Hold starring Rachel Griffiths and Tcheky Karyo.
She was Australian field director of two episodes of the series Planet Finance for Dutch broadcaster VPRO and is currently producing and directing a small “ecosystem” of films for the Australian Wildlife Conservancy.
